Detail Description :
Candidates, who have passed Diploma Course in Civil Engineering from any Institute recognized by the Odisha State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training are eligible for the post. In addition to this qualification, candidates should have reading, writing & speaking proficiency in Odiya. Candidates should also have passed Odiya as one of the subjects in 10th standard examination or passed the examination in Odiya equivalent to Middle English Standard or passed in Odiya as a language subject in the final examination of Class-VII or passed a test in Odiya in Middle English School Standard conducted by the Education Department, Govt. Odisha. Age should be between 21 and 32 years as on 01.01.2019 which means candidates should be born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.1998. Ex-Servicemen & Physically challenged candidates will get relaxation in age as per the Govt. Rules. Gross Salary will be Rs.16,880/- p.m. The number of vacancies is 257 (UR: 143, UR-W: 73, SC: 23, SC-W: 12, ST-W: 06), out of which ESM: 08, PWD: 27, PWD-W: 09, Sportsperson: 03.
Process of Selection :
Selection will be made based on written examination followed by career evaluation & document verification. Written Test of 100 marks will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions based on the following subjects : (i) Hydraulics, (ii) Survey, (iii) Civil Engineering Materials, (iv) Construction Technology, (v) Structural Analysis, (vi) Transportation Engineering, (vii) Irrigation Engineering, (viii) Estimating, (ix) Structural Design, (x) Public Health Engineering, (xi) Construction Management, (xii) Advanced Construction Technology. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Shortlisted candidates will be called for career evaluation & document verification. Candidates should have to download the admit card of the written test from the website as mentioned below. The merit list of the successful candidates will also be available on the same website.
The process to Apply: Candidates will have to apply on-line through this website: www.ossc.gov.in within 29.09.2019. Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID, which should be kept active during this recruitment process. At first, candidates will have to visit that website & click on the ‘Apply On-Line’ link to fill in all the required fields of the on-line application form. Afterward, the candidate will have to upload his/ her passport size recent color photograph & signature and the documents in support of age, educational qualification, caste, disability, discharge and other relevant documents in a specific digital format. After that, the candidate should verify the data, what he/she put in the application form. After verification, the application should be submitted by clicking the ‘Submit’ button. Thereafter, candidates will have to pay Rs.200/- as application fee by using on-line SBI payment gateway through Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking /UPI. After that, candidates must collect the e-receipt. No application fee is required for SC / ST / Physically challenged candidates. After paying the application fees, candidates should have to take print-out of computerized system generated application form, which must be retained for future purposes.
